BUK Releases 2026/2027 Cut-Off Marks, Announces Post-UTME Registration Dates

Bayero University Kano (BUK) has officially released the cut-off marks and Post-UTME screening details for the 2026/2027 admission exercise, providing prospective candidates with the requirements needed to participate in the admission process.

The development follows the special admission bulletin issued by the university on Friday, which outlined the approved cut-off marks and eligibility conditions for candidates seeking admission into various undergraduate programmes.

According to the bulletin, only candidates who selected Bayero University Kano as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored the prescribed minimum cut-off mark for their chosen courses will be eligible to participate in the screening exercise. The university also advised candidates to ensure that their O’Level results have been uploaded to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) to avoid admission-related issues.

The release of the admission bulletin has generated significant interest among prospective students, particularly those awaiting the commencement of the university’s Post-UTME registration exercise. Candidates are expected to carefully review the approved cut-off points for their respective programmes before proceeding with the screening application.

University authorities noted that meeting the minimum cut-off mark does not automatically guarantee admission, as admission into highly competitive programmes will depend on the performance of candidates and the available admission quota.

Meanwhile, the university announced that registration for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise will begin on Friday , 19th June, 2026 and end on Sunday, 16th August, 2026. Prospective candidates who meet the approved cut-off mark and other admission requirements are expected to register before the deadline, as late applications may not be considered.

The announcement marks the beginning of the 2026/2027 undergraduate admission process at Bayero University Kano, with thousands of candidates expected to participate in the screening exercise in the coming weeks.

Candidates are encouraged to complete all admission requirements within the stipulated period and ensure that the information provided during registration is accurate and consistent with their academic records.
